Sponsoring 400mph World land speed record!

Angelic Bulldog

PHT are getting behind a great British project by supplying harnesses and technical expertise.

The 650bhp turbocharged 400mph motorcycle will attempt the World land speed record in 2012 and will be ‘ridden’ by former Manx GP racer Gabriel Uttley.

The attempt location is yet to be decided but whatever venue is chosen the vehicle and electrical system are likely to be subject to salt, sand, grime and possible moisture ingress. For these reasons PHT and the ‘AB’ team have decided on a fully sealed MOD/Autosport harness, ensuring reliability when it matters.

“PHT are proud to be part of this British attempt and look forward to helping it on its way to success” commented PHT Director David Earnshaw.

Contact customerserv@parkinsontech.co.uk for further information regarding fully sealed harnesses for your application.

Seasons Greetings...

2010 has been a remarkable year for PHT; we have managed to re-build the capacity and output that was cut when the recession hit us at the end of 2008.

Our dedicated team has worked tirelessly, and at times on double shifts, resulting in an increased output of 50%. We are proud that our own efforts and that of our suppliers meant that we kept pace with the demands of our largest and smallest customers alike.

We look forward to another great year and would like to wish our customers and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and New Year.

Perfect Quality...

November has been a very busy month for the Quality Dept.  Having undergone two external audits, a process audit from JCB and a full system and procedure audit from ISOQAAR, we are pleased to say we maintained accreditation with both companies.

As part of our continual improvement goals – we have also seen a first group of staff start a Business Improvement Techniques and Skills NVQ course.  This is for staff at all levels and is proving very successful, with very positive feedback and some great new ideas.

More Hybrid Vehicle success...

Almost every major automobile manufacturer has either launched or is planning to launch hybrid vehicles in the coming years and Parkinson Harness Technology are pleased to be involved with several of their suppliers at the development stages.

Parkinson’s have now supplied a number of development organizations in the Midlands with vehicle looms, Lithium Ion battery interconnections and bus bars, helping them on their way to success.

The Managing Director of one organization (details confidential due to nature of project) told us “We are growing at such a rate that we needed a company to interpret our requests and provide samples on time within a matter of days. We are pleased to say that Parkinson’s met this challenge head-on and are also well equipped for when the volumes increase”.

Rail Industry approval...
Link Up Approval

In October 2009, Parkinson Harness Technology Ltd obtained Link-up approval which has enabled us to pursue harness business within the UK rail industry.

Link-up is the UK rail industry supplier qualification scheme providing a single common registration, qualification and audit process for suppliers that is shared by the UK rail industry. Link-up is used extensively by procurement, engineering, safety and quality professionals as well as organisations who need to comply with European Procurement Legislation and Railway Group Standards.

Since our qualification we have secured a contract with a major OEM company to refurbish and manufacture harness assemblies. Our plans for expansion into new market areas are based on obtaining further industry approvals. Watch this space for more details.
